1. The Opening Movement: Consultation & Measures

Timeframe: Day 1 (Approx. 60–90 minutes) Your journey begins with a relaxed conversation. We invite you to settle into the atelier with a chilled glass of Prosecco or a signature espresso while we discuss your vision.

  • Design: We select fabrics from our curated bunches and decide on every detail—from lapel width to button choice.

  • Anatomy: We take over 30 precise measurements to ensure the garment respects your unique posture and silhouette.

2. The Blueprint: Pattern Making & Cutting

Timeframe: Week 1–2 Behind the scenes, your measurements are translated into a unique paper pattern. This is your "DNA" at IVI Atelier. The cloth is then hand-cut, leaving extra "inlays" to allow for future adjustments as your body changes over the years.

3. The First Fitting: The "Basted" Stage

Timeframe: Week 3–4 This is the most critical stage. You return to the studio for a fitting of the "skeleton" of the suit—held together by white basting thread.

  • The Goal: We check the drape, balance, and flow. The suit won't have pockets or linings yet; we are purely focused on the perfect structural fit.

4. The Second Fitting: Shaping the Soul

Timeframe: Week 5–6 The suit now looks like a suit. The canvas is set, and the lapels are shaped. During this session, we refine the final length of the trousers and sleeves to ensure they hit exactly where they should.

5. The Final Reveal & Collection

Timeframe: Week 7–8 Your masterpiece is complete. After a final inspection to ensure every hand-sewn buttonhole is perfect, you’ll try the suit on one last time. We celebrate the completion of your garment with a final toast before it is pressed and placed in a custom IVI Atelier garment bag.
